Korean Food In Chicago – ‘En Hakkore 2.0’ Restaurant

When you miss Korea, here’s a restaurant where you can taste Korean food even abroad! It looks like raw fish rice bowl, but it’s a slightly different Hawaiian dish: poke and sushi burrito! It looks like Japanese food, but it’s traditional Hawaiian food. The owner of this restaurant is Korean, so you can order in Korean!

The menu is written in Korean, but it’s a fake! Decorative for interior use! This street in front is full of shops and is very busy, so it would be nice to eat at the bar in front. People-watching and walking around the streets!

En Hakkore 2.0 (Sushi Burrito/Poke)

Really delicious! The seasoning is less salty and sour than raw fish rice bowl, so it looks like raw fish rice bowl, and the sushi burrito is slightly different, like a huge seaweed maki.

Sushi Burrito

The great thing is that those eggs taste very similar to real Japanese eggs. Japanese eggs are soft and sweet! It contains tuna, salmon, vegetables, etc. It’s not bland at all and the vegetables are sweet and sour! The outside is covered with seaweed and is large and thick.

You can choose your rice and toppings too! And they say poke is Japanese food, but it’s actually Hawaiian food!! But it’s really delicious. Highly recommended.

Korean Food In Chicago – ‘SAN SOO GAB SAN’ Restaurant

When I went on a trip to Chicago, at the request of an acquaintance, I drove to ‘Sansugapsan’, a charcoal grill restaurant on the north side of Chicago. An acquaintance recommended this store as a place where you can taste Korean-style charcoal grills.

Because it was an unusual time on a weekday, there were only a few customers in the spacious store. I ordered two servings of the signature dish, king ribs, and tried out the various side dishes that filled the table for the first time in a long time.

Korean Food

Even though it wasn’t Korean beef, it was different and delicious as I ate Korean-style meat over charcoal in the US. Although the price was a bit higher than eating American beef ribs in Korea, my friend and I were still satisfied with our lunch.

When it comes to Korean restaurants in Chicago, everyone talks about ‘Cho Seon-ok’. It feels like a Korean restaurant, but it seems somewhat exotic. The ceiling was very low and it felt a bit stuffy. Because it was a winter trip to Chicago, there weren’t many people, but there were still a few tables of foreigners and no Koreans.

The famous menu items at Choseonok in Chicago are brisket and naengmyeon, which are grilled on a stone plate. We also ordered brisket and cold noodles first. Although it is a Korean restaurant, there is also a tipping culture.

Marbled sauce, young radish kimchi, bean sprouts, kimchi, stewed potatoes, etc. Korean side dishes that look like they would be served at a Korean restaurant were served. The sense of setting it up on both sides so that there is no shortage of side dishes! Cho Seon-ok, a Korean restaurant in Chicago, has everything prepared according to the Korean food base, including pickled onions and ssamjang.

When you order brisket, it comes out like this, but this is not all. There is a system where the staff bakes it continuously. They just keep baking it over and over again. Marbled meat is just a taste we know, but it’s not overly savory or anything, but it’s just a taste that’s meaningful to the taste of eating meat in America!

Korean Food

They just grill it all and put it on a plate.. This is the style of Chicago Choseonok Marbled Chicken. Still, they say that marbled brisket is the most famous, so I think you should visit Choseonok and try it! The meat itself was very clean and had no smell, so I personally thought it would be of good quality.

Korean Food In Chicago – ‘YARD HOUSE’ Restaurant

‘YARD HOUSE’ Restaurant has Korean and American fusion food. These days, Korean food containing kimchi seems to be popular wherever you go overseas. The recommended pineapple beer is a drink that has a stronger pineapple flavor than beer. It’s okay to drink as a beverage. Personally, I think Europe and the UK are the best when it comes to beer. The beer I ordered tasted close to a cocktail.

The first appetizer I ordered, spicy shrimp, goes perfect with scorched rice. The appetizers here are delicious. Calamari and fried squid are also recommended as they are delicious. And I usually order and eat hamburgers. It has a pub-like atmosphere.

I asked for the steak to be medium well with no visible blood, but it was cooked perfectly well so it was a bit dry. I think you can eat a delicious American steak only if you order medium rare. Wherever you go in the US, steaks are generally above average… but this time, I failed to control the grilling. Unless it’s a margarita pizza or a wood-fired pizza, margaritas seem to be mediocre. Pizza in Chicago is Chicago Pizza.

Korean Food In Chicago – ‘Kongdog’

This place was recently opened, but is so popular that another chain store is scheduled to open. Just think of Korea’s Myeongnyang hot dog. It’s delicious and exceeds expectations. And there is a BBQ right next door, so I recommend eating it with chicken or tteokbokki! The tteokbokki here is really steamed. If you always ask me, Sesa’s tteokbokki prides itself on making good tteokbokki, and I admit it.

After going here, I knew I wanted to eat this a few days later and bought it for me. You can pay a little more for the sauce too. Things like ketchup are free. But you have to pay for sweet chili. Oh, and the drinks here are also very good!

This is a really great restaurant. Why is it a good restaurant? How many Korean restaurants have I been to? Among them, I can definitely say that this is the most delicious Korean restaurant I know. The bibimbap is delicious, and you can just say that everything is delicious. It would be nice to go with foreign friends!
