Korean Seoul’s Best Bread – ‘Bakery Tartine’

After watching a video on YouTube with a friend, we decided to go to Seoul’s Bbangji pilgrimage places one by one, and we went to ‘Bakery Tartine’ first, which had a recommended video posted. There are other chain stores, but I headed to the Hannam branch. I looked it up on the map and there was a small white neon sign on the left side of the building. I went there on a weekend morning and there were a lot of people. If you want to go, I recommend taking the bus. Because. Parking is difficult.

My friend did a search and said that a lot of people order brisket here. So I ordered the brisket banh mi sandwich and Tartine’s most famous tartine country & butter bread. Croissants, morning buns, and tartine country & butter bread are displayed in the front. I like that it’s covered. There are cookies, slices of cake, etc. at the back of the display case. I chose 2 large breads and did not choose slices of cake or cookies.

The iced cafe latte I ordered came out. It’s refreshing and delicious, so it’s perfect to eat with bread. Next came the sandwich. I was told the price was a bit high, but after taking one bite, I thought it was a reasonable price. Next was the Tarti Country & Butter Bread. The texture is really amazing. It is not soft like a baguette, but has a chewy and soft feel. I think it would be good to eat it as a real meal.

Korean Seoul’s Best Bread – ‘Queen’s Bakery’

It’s a perfect location to visit if you’re traveling to Seoul. Parking at Queen’s Bakery is actually difficult, so you have to find and use a nearby airspace parking lot. Myeongdong Jjangjip Queens Bakery’s store is quite spacious. You can eat it inside the store, and there are many different types of bread, so you will feel happy as soon as you enter. There are over 100 types that I just remember, so it’s quite large.

Every time I saw this, I thought, ‘I have to buy this!’ It was a bread that tasted like knotted nuts. The fact that it is vanilla made by boiling it yourself gives me even more confidence. I really liked that the price was cheap. And my style of patache vanilla. It’s a bread that you can eat in one bite and has a cream puff inside! Just looking at the chewy homemade cream inside the choux is sweet. Fresh cream and milk are also domestically produced.

Both of them looked like pizza bread at first, but when I got to know them, I thought why I didn’t buy this while buying the cream bread. Why do I always regret visiting after eating? In addition to bread and cakes, they also make meringue cookies and macaroons. They sell a variety of simple desserts, so you and your friends can choose a dessert that suits your taste. I think this is also the advantage of Queens Bakery.

And the Shuara I bought. I couldn’t not buy it because it said ‘Quiz Signature’ on it. Also, does it feel like a soborunotted donut? Also, I bought a lemon pie because it was unique. The visual reminds me of lip pies, which used to be common snacks. And since I haven’t seen much bread made with lemon, I was curious about the taste, so I bought it. Queens Bakery’s lemon pie is refreshing and sweet. This bread is great to eat when you want to change your mood. It goes well with coffee and herbal tea.

Considering that this bakery has been around for over 30 years, you can already feel its tremendous strength. The interior has a friendly atmosphere, like an old neighborhood bakery. It doesn’t have an exotic feel or cute and pretty packaging like other hot bakeries these days, but Yeongi’s unique retro atmosphere is still charming. This is a great place to come when you miss old-fashioned bread!

The cakes in the showcase also have an old-fashioned feel. I used to get a latte with a hamburger at a bakery. Actually, we are more of a sausage bread fan than a hamburger, so we really liked the sausage buns here, but at some point, the sausage buns disappeared, so you don’t know how upset we are.

Bread

Not only do they have old breads, but they also have hot breads these days like pandor and salt bread. Since there are so many different types of bread, first-time visitors may have a hard time deciding what kind of bread to buy. I think it’s a good idea to look at this and make your choice!

IM Bagel and Bread Pitt are both located in the Lotte Castle Ivy building. Actually, Bread Pitt wasn’t the destination, but when I took the escalator down to the basement to go to IM Bagel, Bread Pitt caught my eye right away. At first, I wondered why a bakery would be built in a place like this, but it was the perfect location to make bread while coming and going. Since the scale is not that big, I wondered if there would be many different types of bread, but there were more diverse and delicious breads on display than I expected.

I thought it would only be takeout, but there are a few tables on the side of the store where you can eat and go. The bread I bought is put in a paper bag like this, and carrying it around in my arms makes me feel like I’m in a foreign country and it makes me excited. Since I had already bought a lot from I Am Bagel, I only bought what I would eat right away. Black sesame cream puff that made my heart beat~

Bread

The outside is not hard but rather soft, but feels like a crispy cookie. It’s full of savory black sesame cream! It’s very rich and very soft. There was almost no greasiness or sweetness, so I enjoyed it without any burden. I didn’t plan on eating it all at once, but the puff is so thin that it collapses when I press it with my hand, so I end up eating it all in one bite. And after eating, there is a lot of black sesame powder stuck between your teeth, so be careful…!! I walk around all day without even knowing it.
